Help Rex Gero Leave Us With Dignity

As some of you may already know, our dear friend and fellow patriot, Rex Gero (@rxrthepoet) is fighting what will probably be his last battle on earth. He is in the final stages of pancreatic cancer in Canton, Ohio. Rex, now 62 years old, has faced this battle over the past 30 years with cancer before and won, but he has been told he has just weeks at this point.

Rex, as you know, has been a staunch fighter for freedom on Twitter and in the real world. Just before he became ill, he had worked with others to form a PAC to speak for grassroots issues which are being ignored. He has authored about 600 poems. He is working with @JoanneMoretti to have them published posthumously to benefit his two sisters. Rex accepted Christ a few months ago, not out of fear of death, but because of the kindness and generosity of his Christian friends who rallied around him when they found out he was ill. … Continue Reading

Operation #SLAM Video Update 9.19.2011

We recently appeared on “Talk To Solomon” with Guy Christian http://twitter.com/1greatamerican to discuss what Operation SLAM is and why it is important. We won’t summarize the video. We urge you to take the time to watch it. The video explains the rationale and the methodology behind taking our money away from sponsors of the liberal media who are deliberately misinforming the public and providing cover to an out of control governmen.

This update includes a list of the sponsors of MSNBC, which is the first target. They are bordering on failure as a network and are particularly vulnerable to a pull out of sponsors. Before we get to the list of sponsors, we offer a list of steps you can take to help move the ball forward. Everyone can play a part, and everyone must play a part in order for this to succeed. Right now, liberals on social media have heard of SLAM and are predicting it will fail because they know we are not likely to unite and fight back. This is their area of expertise, not ours.

Jimmy Dean, the maker of sausage and premium breakfast foods, sponsors MSNBC, as well as other media outlets that have in the past likened those who oppose the growth of government power as “terrorists,” “teabaggers,” “racists,” and “hostage takers.” Notwithstanding the fact that the company’s founder was a legendary American success story, this company now actively pays for programs that denigrate the desire of Americans to live in same freedom that allowed this company to form and prosper.

Operation: #SLAM – Stop the Lying A** Media

Media in the United States enjoys special privilege and protection under the First Amendment to the Constitution. Our Founders, in their timeless wisdom, knew the value of a press, free of government interference, serving as a watchdog and keeping the public informed. The vision was that a free press would serve to both inform the public and to serve as an additional check on the power of government.

Of course, with this power in the hands of the media, the potential for corruption was great. Until recently, the cost of presses, cameras, and other equipment concentrated the power of the press into the hands of an elite few. As a result, those controlling the media abused their power and moved from informing the public to shaping policy or aiding those that shape policy by withholding information, reporting misinformation, or simply ignoring the actions of those they serve.

Right now, the majority of Americans are simply fed up with their governments, whether it is federal, state or local. Many have tuned into the ideas of the Tea Party movement and desperately want to feel a smaller, lighter government boot on their throats. However, at the same time, while large scale Tea Party protests have captured the imagination of the American people and have had some success in raising awareness, they have fallen woefully short in achieving the desired end: To make the government listen to the will of WE THE PEOPLE.

In honor of Black History Month, we felt it appropriate to take a look at a key issue facing America. During this month of February, we will be hearing about many great contributions to America from people of African racial origins. They are certainly many. We live in an area of the country that cannot forget the contributions of great Americans such as George Washington Carver and Booker T. Washington to the world of southern agriculture. However, during this month, we will hear little about the contributions of an estimated 17 million blacks as of this year. Why? Because they were never born and never had the opportunity to contribute to the progress of America.

Liberal “Debate” Tactics

Hope you watched and enjoyed the video. Liberals love to tell us about their “intellectual superiority.” I think the video closes that argument. Res ipsa loquitur.

UPDATE:  [After publishing, we were advised that a similar list was published by another blogger. We were working partially off a list we got in e-mail. You know the kind, forwarded 500 times with rarely a chance to find and acknowledge the original author. We took that list and added some of our own ideas to it. Based on the blog we were directed to, it appears it could be the source of the e-mail we got. The list of liberal debate points goes back to 2006 in the blog. So, we'd like to direct readers to check out Battalion S2 blog. Some good info there on how to combat the left even though the site doesn't look to have been updated in a long time.]

I’ve been toying with how to show everyone how weak the ideas of the left are that they have to break rules of civility and decorum on such a consistent basis. So, I’ve put together a list of Liberal “Debate” Tactics. They are presented in no particular order, and while the list will cover nearly all the tactics you’ll see employed, I don’t discount their creativity in finding more ingenius ways to step outside the boundaries of societal norms.

Liberals do not debate, not in the classic sense of the word. A debate is a structured exchange of ideas following certain rules of decorum and procedure. As a veteran of many debates under National Forensic League rules, what I see that passes for “debate” in today’s social media is appalling. While there are offenders on the right, to be sure, the most egregious examples of lack of decorum and civility seem to come primarily from the left.

Open Letter to the Attack Dogs on Left

For months the left has been sniping at me, trying to use aspects of my personal life in an attempt to destroy me, both in the world of social media and professionally. The volume has continued to rise until it reached nearly a fevered pitch again today, as it has many times in the past. Any idea of civil debate in this country has come pretty much to an end, yielding to the politics of personal destruction. Coming on the heels of a tragedy in Arizona where the left worked so hard to place the blame on lack of civility, this is no surprise. The left has always been about lack of civility and personal attacks for as long as I’ve been in politics.

And this is my Joe McCarthy moment. I look at you on the left, and I ask, “Have you no decency?”
