In Memoriam: Jeff Hedgepeth @Alinsky Defeater

We were all greatly saddened by the news of the sudden passing of Jeff Hedgepeth, better known to all of us on Twitter as @AlinskyDefeater. We were not told of the circumstances of his passing, and we chose not to pry into his daughter Jenny’s privacy.

We first met Jeff when we were a still new to Twitter. He was already an established figure whose claim to fame was his outstanding understanding of Saul Alinsky’s Rules for Radicals and how to use them against the left. Intrigued by his dry sense of humor and his knowledge, we decided to follow him. It was one of our best decisions.

#OpSLAM: Target 1 – OralB

November 14, 2012 Political Blog 11 Comments

The first targeted sponsor of MSNBC is Oral-B, the oral care company. We believe this to be particularly appropriate for several reasons. First, they are a company dedicated to clean mouths. How antithetical to their corporate mission that they would sponsor the hate speech and oral filth that deluges the viewers of MSNBC! They are also a business in a crowded space with plenty of competition fighting for market share and should be sensitive to market share loss. Many companies manufacture dental floss, electric toothbrushes and manual toothbrushes. They also like to present a family image.

Operation SLAM — #OpSLAM Stop the Lying A** Media was introduced a little over a year ago. However, at the time, the conservatives on Twitter seemed to still be of the belief that we could rely on a fair electoral process and the Republican party to easily remove a completely failed president. Of course, with the media providing cover, parroting the lies of the administration and helping to select our candidate during the primaries, the result was another four-year term of the rapidly growing dictatorship.

We reintroduced #OpSLAM two days ago to a public that was now ready to act. Click here to read  the plan overview if you have not done so already. The concept is simple. We own about 60 percent of the buying power in America, and it is time we stopped supporting those who are working to destroy our lives, and that includes those who sponsor them.

Additional Background Information

To do this, we are going to have to adopt the tactics of the left. At first blush, this might appear distasteful to some. However, in adopting the tactics of the left, we do not have to become as disgusting as the left. We can maintain the high ground of language and behavior, and yet forcefully make our point that we are simply not going to allow our consumer dollars to be used against us any longer.

Operation: #OpSLAM – Stop the Lying A** Media

Media in the United States enjoys special privilege and protection under the First Amendment to the Constitution. Our Founders, in their timeless wisdom, knew the value of a press, free of government interference, serving as a watchdog and keeping the public informed. The vision was that a free press would serve to both inform the public and to serve as an additional check on the power of government.

Of course, with this power in the hands of the media, the potential for corruption was great. Until recently, the cost of presses, cameras, and other equipment concentrated the power of the press into the hands of an elite few. As a result, those controlling the media abused their power and moved from informing the public to shaping policy or aiding those that shape policy by withholding information, reporting misinformation, or simply ignoring the actions of those they serve.
